Delegates from the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), through the Korea Agency of Education, Promotion, and Information Service (EPIS), conducted a field visit at the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority – Central Office (PFDA-CO) Information Technology (IT) Command Data Center on January 10, 2024. 

In partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA), the inspection is part of an ongoing grant project called the "Establishment of an Agriculture-based Central Data Ecosystem (AbCDE)," which aims to leverage Korea's expertise and advancements in agriculture informatization by improving, integrating, and implementing the DA centralized system.

As part of the project's second mission trip, the Korean partners are engaging in preliminary activities to prepare for the implementation of Component 1, which involves assessing the current digitalization status and data integration within the DA. 

PFDA Acting General Manager Atty. Glen A. Pangapalan and Assistant General Manager Ms. Iris R. de Vera, together with Corporate Planning and Management Information Services Department Manager Ms. Gina J. Reyes and Information Technology Division-CPMISD Chief Mr. Thadeus A. Mariano, welcomed the visitors from MAFRA and DA.
