Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) received a certification of recognition from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) for playing a significant role in supporting cooperatives during the CDA Gawad Parangal 2023, held at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City on October 13, 2022.
The CDA acknowledged the PFDA’s steadfast support in cooperative development by creating opportunities, expanding access to resources, and building a more inclusive and prosperous future for cooperatives through the PFDA isDA ON THE GO (iOTG) Program.
The iOTG partnership between the PFDA and CDA that began in October 2021 continues to support and empower cooperatives in Metro Manila and various provinces in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The awarding ceremony is in line with the celebration of National Cooperative Month 2023 with the theme, “Cooperatives: Pioneering the Path to Recovery Amidst Modern Challenges of Climate Change and Food Security."
Ms. Janet T. Manalo, Chief of the Regional Municipal Port Operations Division (RMPOD), received the award on behalf of the agency.
