Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), represented by the Internal Audit Department (IAD), attended the 8th Forum for Heads of Internal Audit Service/Office (HIAS/O) in the Public Sector with the theme "Strategic Transformation of Internal Auditor Practices," on April 20, 2023, at Novotel Manila, Araneta City, Quezon City.

Organized by the Association of Government Internal Auditors (AGIA), this one-day forum served as an avenue for sharing knowledge, experiences, and challenges in transforming internal auditing in the public sector. The assembly was also a way where Internal Audit Chief Executives exchanged information to address present and emerging changes in the public service.

Moreover, the annual meeting is consistent with the AGIA’s mandate and commitment to delivering and providing continuing professional development to its members.

During the forum, distinguished resource speakers tackled relevant and timely topics on the strategic transformation of internal auditing practices during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic up to the present.
