Credit Cooperative of Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (CCPFDA) held an oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected Board of Directors, Auditors, and Election Committee members, held during the flag-raising ceremony of the PFDA Central Office on April 24, 2023.

PFDA Officer-in-Charge General Manager Ms. Iris R. de Vera led the oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected officials. 

Mr. Melvin A. Rabang of PFDA - Navotas Fish Port Complex and Mr. Ernest Carlo DC. Garcia of the PFDA - Central Office (CO) secured the Board of Directors positions.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kaypee P. Palecpec and Mr. Kim Francis L. Moralde of the PFDA-CO were the newly elected Auditors of the CCPFDA. Subsequently, Ms. Suzette Paula I. Ruiz, Mr. Christian Dave V. Fernandez, and Ms. Jahziel B. Flores assumed the positions in the Election Committee. 

On March 29, the CCPFDA Board of Directors (BOD) organized a simultaneous election (physical and online voting) in the PFDA Central Office and Regional Fish Ports (RFP), including the PFDA – Sual Fish Port, PFDA – Camaligan Fish Port, PFDA – Tacloban City Fish Port, PFDA – Bulan Fish Port Complex, PFDA – Lucena Fish Port Complex, PFDA – General Santos Fish Port Complex, and PFDA – Navotas Fish Port Complex. 

Later that day, the CCPFDA conducted the 2023 General Assembly (GA) to discuss the status of Cooperative matters, developmental plans and projects, and other concerns requiring GA action.

During the assembly, CCPFDA Chairperson Ms. Janet T. Manalo announced that the Cooperative is on the course to becoming a Multipurpose Cooperative with the intention of generating more revenue for the benefit of the CCPFDA members. Ms. Manalo assured all members, “we are trying our very best to invest the money into a profitable venture.” 

The GA answered all questions and suggestions from the CCPFDA members. In addition, the CCPFDA BOD encouraged all members to patronize the Cooperative's services to maintain a positive trend this 2023.
