As the National Capital Region (NCR) remains under Alert Level 4, Philippine Fisheries Development Authority – Navotas Fish Port Complex (PFDA-NFPC) conducted its 19th monthly general cleaning and disinfection activities in several parts of the port on September 30, 2021.

Led by the PFDA-NFPC Port Maintenance Division and FSEMU, the activity was part of the port’s measures in the implementation of safety and preventive measures against COVID-19. The disinfection team thoroughly cleaned the port’s entrance gate/lambatan area and Market Halls 1 to 5.

Volunteers from ambulant vendors, members of the BMIL-BSL and Delta Fire Volunteer Team, Janitorial Services - Manila Alliance Management Services Cooperative (MAMSC), and members of Catalina Security Agency participated in the general cleaning.

PFDA reminds everyone to regularly follow minimum public health standards against COVID-19. Proper use of face mask and shield, physical distancing, and frequent hand washing is still highly recommended to avoid the further spread of the virus. Further, please consult your healthcare provider if you are experiencing common symptoms and check this reminder from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at bit.ly/COVIDHomeCareTips
