National family Week resized

Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) joins in the celebration of this year's National Family Week with the theme "Tungo sa Maginhawa, Matatag at Panatag na Pamilyang Pilipino" and subtheme: "Pamilya at Teknolohiya: Magkabalikat Mapagtagumpayan ang Hamon ng Pandemya", on September 20 to 25, 2021.

Under Proclamation No. 60 series of 1992 declaring the last week of September of every year as "Family Week", the PFDA takes part in focusing on the importance of strengthening and promoting unity, solidarity, and stability of the Filipino Family as the basic unit of Filipino society.

As the Department of Agriculture (DA)’s private arm in ensuring food sufficiency all over the country through its regional and municipal fish ports, the PFDA commits to continuously provide adequate fish supply so that families can get together and enjoy high-quality and delicious meals despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

This annual activity is spearheaded by the National Committee on the Filipino Family (NCFF) chaired by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
