In the pursuit of delivering sufficient fishery products to all consumers, Philippine Fisheries Development Authority – Zamboanga Fish Port Complex (PFDA-ZFPC) opened the gates of its newly constructed Market Hall to more clients and stakeholders on September 1, 2021. 

Originally designed to cater to a maximum of 22 port clients only, the market hall was remodeled and is now occupied by twenty-seven (27) fish brokers/traders and three (3) ice retailers. 

In line with this initiative, more port facilities in PFDA-ZFPC are pipelined to be constructed and reintegrated under the agency’s rehabilitation Flagship Project. 

Clients and stakeholders who will enter the newly built Market Hall are required to wear their white t-shirts and boots. They must also observe minimum health protocols such as proper sanitation, wearing of face mask and face shield, and social distancing. 

Prior to the opening, the ZFPC market hall also had its blessing last August 13, 2021.
