New set of Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) personnel completed the Creative and Effective Selling Techniques (CEST) seminar-workshop at the University of the Philippines – Institute for Small-Scale Industries (UP-ISSI), Diliman, Quezon City, on March 24 to 28, 2025.
The week-long seminar-workshop aimed to equip personnel with the necessary skills to identify innovative marketing techniques and different selling approaches, prepare a marketing plan, effectively win customers and gain a strong foothold on the dynamics of salesmanship.

Mr. Gerard Joseph B. Alava returned as the resource person of the workshop. He discussed the necessary techniques as well as the planning and preparation to effective selling, customer relationship marketing, and sales plan presentation and evaluation.
Thirty-one (21 females and 10 males) personnel from PFDA - Central Office, PFDA - General Santos Fish Port Complex, PFDA - Davao Fish Port Complex, PFDA - Iloilo Fish Port Complex, and PFDA - Zamboanga Fish Port Complex participated in the second batch of CEST.
During the graduation ceremony, the PFDA-IFPC team was recognized as the Best Presenter after receiving the highest grade of 98%.
The seminar-workshop was organized by the PFDA Administrative Services Department – Human Resources Division (ASD-HRD), in partnership with the UP-ISSI.
