Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) conducted a Drug-Free Workplace Awareness Program on March 21, 2025, at the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Auditorium, with experts from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency - National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR) serving as resource speakers.

The program aimed to educate PFDA personnel on drug classification, its ill effects on individuals and workplaces, and the consequences of drug use. Additionally, it provided guidance on formulating a Drug-Free Workplace Policy to promote a safe and productive work environment.

The topics discussed were drug identification and its ill effects, Drug-free Workplace Policy, and the salient provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Mr. Arvin Gaye Targa, Chief of Public Information and Media Relations Section and Mr. Paulo Victor A. Daculla, Supervising Administrative Officer and Chief of Preventive Education and Community Involvement (PECI) Section of PDEA-NCR served as the resource persons for the event.
