Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) participated in the Basic First Aid, Search and Rescue Training, and Fire Drill conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection - Quezon City Fire District (BFP-QCFD) on March 18 to 19, 2025 at the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Auditorium and Agro-Hub Complex. 

The training aimed to equip the PFDA personnel with the skills to provide immediate assistance and care in emergencies, stabilize situations, and potentially save lives until professional help arrives. 

The topics discussed in the two-day training include Composition of Emergency Response Team, Basic Bandaging, Fire Safety protocols, Basic Life Support, and Search and Rescue. In line with the Fire Prevention Month, the participants also assigned an ad hoc Incident Command Group among themselves for the fire drill and search and rescue to simulate real-life fire incidents. 

BFP-QCFD Senior Fire Officer 1 (SFO1) Jayson S. Santiago, SFO2 Rendell Jay V. Buquing, Fire Officer 3 (FO3) Yousef-Amin G. Tillah, FO1 Royland A. Enriquez, FO3 Jan Marde A. Del Rosario, SFO1 Richard Andrew A. Roces, SFO2 Virgilio E. Remonde Jr., and FO2 James D. Luminis served as the resource speakers for the training. 

Personnel from the PFDA Central Office (PFDA-CO), Star Special Corporate Security Management Inc., and D’Triumph Cleaners and Allied Services Inc. attended the two-day training.
