Philippine Fisheries Development Authority - Iloilo Fish Port Complex (PFDA-IFPC) participated in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office VI’s (PDEA RO-VI) Drug Abuse Prevention Education and Drug-Free Workplace Program on March 6, 2025 at the PFDA-IFPC Admin Building.
The lecture was aimed to equip PFDA-IFPC personnel with knowledge about drugs and the effects of drugs, and to ensure that the participants are well-informed and capable of creating a drug abuse policy to make the fish port a drug-free workplace.
The topics discussed include, different forms of drug abuse, penalties under Republic Act 9165 - Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, roles of individuals in drug prevention, effects of drugs, and the components of drug-free workplace program.
Public Information Officer Ms. Ma. Graziella Tanaleon, Legal Officer Atty. Bomrad Soc Abonado, and Agent Mr. Paulo Nicole delos Santos of PDEA served as the resource speakers for the event.
