PFDA Agency News 02032025

 

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) visited the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority - Navotas Fish Port Complex (PFDA-NFPC) and observed ongoing flagship rehabilitation projects in PFDA Regional Fish Ports (RFP) nationwide, on January 30, 2025. 

PFDA Acting General Manager Atty. Glen A. Pangapalan and PFDA-NFPC Port Manager Ms. Luz P. Ortiz welcomed the visitors from DBM Bureau-C led by Acting Assistant Director Ms. Lulu P. Vispo. 

The DBM team toured around the Navotas port where they visited the Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the PFDA-NFPC’s flagship rehabilitation project. They observed the ongoing construction of the new PFDA Central Office building, the Modern Market Halls, and the additional area for fishery post-harvest facilities. 

In addition, the DBM team also visited Market Hall 1 and the new FG Cold Storage Corporation. 

After the tour, the other ongoing flagship rehabilitation projects in the PFDA RFPs were presented via drone livestreaming by Technical Services Department Manager Engr. Danilo A. Axalan. All these projects are funded under the multi-year national government subsidy to PFDA. 

PFDA Top Management officials and other PFDA-NFPC staff and personnel were also present during the one-day activity.
