Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) Regional Fish Ports (RFP) delivered a bountiful 42,445.26 metric tons (MT) of fish in December 2024, showing a 14.7% increase in fish unloading volume compared to unloadings in November 2024.
For the last month of 2024, the PFDA - General Santos Fish Port Complex (PFDA-GSFPC) provided the highest volume of unloading this month by giving 25,559.04 MT of fish, showing a healthy 61.1% increase.
Subsequently, the PFDA - Iloilo Fish Port Complex (PFDA-IFPC) maintained a positive performance and delivered 1,963.57 MT of fish, a 5.2% increase in fish unloadings.
Meanwhile, the PFDA - Camaligan Fish Port (PFDA-CFP) gave a significant 278.02% increase in fish unloadings by netting 1.531 MT of fish.
Moreover, the PFDA - Navotas Fish Port Complex (PFDA-NFPC) experienced a slight decline this month, but still managed to unload the second-highest fish unloading volume for the month at 11,804.55 MT.
The PFDA - Lucena Fish Port Complex (PFDA-LFPC) and the PFDA - Bulan Fish Port Complex (PFDA-BFPC) were able to net 1,405.80 MT and 767.70 MT of fish, respectively.
Finally, the PFDA - Zamboanga Fish Port Complex (PFDA-ZFPC) and the PFDA - Davao Fish Port Complex (PFDA-DFPC) managed to unload 653.59 MT and 289.469 MT of fish, respectively.
