Philippine Fisheries Development Authority - Zamboanga Fish Port Complex (PFDA-ZFPC) participated in a Basic First Aid Training led by Marine Battalion Landing Team-1 (MBLT-1) of the Philippine Marine Corps on December 4, 2024.

The training aimed to ensure that participants are well-prepared to handle real-life emergencies and to build community resilience by teaching a series of practical exercises. This is also a part of MBLT-1’s ongoing series of efforts to foster cooperation between the military and local emergency response teams.

The training covered essential first aid skills, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), wound management, and other emergency response procedures to better equip the participants in handling medical emergencies in their respective communities.

Ten PFDA-ZFPC personnel along with six Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) staff, and three barangay health workers attended the training (seven males and 12 females).
