To open this year’s kickoff program, Assistant Head of the PFDA-GFPS Technical Working Group (TWG) Ms. Mary Ann D. Daquer, encouraged all PFDA-CO personnel to join and participate in promoting gender equality and safe spaces for all.

“Nawa’y magsilbi tayong inspirasyon sa lahat ng kababaihan, kabataan, pati na rin sa kalalakihan, upang patuloy na mawakasan ang violence against women,” Ms. Daquer said.

Afterward, the Public Information Division Officer-in-Charge and Head of PFDA-GFPS Committee on Advocacy, Linkages, and Capacity Building, Mr. Miguel M. Pilarta, introduced the activities that will be conducted during the 18-day campaign.

As part of the kickoff program, PFDA-CO Department Managers, Unit Heads, and personnel recited and signed the Pledge of Commitment to end VAW.

Later in the day, PFDA-CO staff and personnel came together and posed for photos in support of the 18-day Campaign to End VAW.

They posed while raising placards that say, “Stop Violence Against Women” and the 2024 sub-theme, “VAW Bigyang Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras!”.
