Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), through its Administrative Services Department – Human Resources Division (ASD-HRD) and ISO-Quality Workplace Team, conducted a seminar-workshop on 7S of Good Housekeeping at the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) – Rural Development Education Center, Quezon City, on September 26, 2024.
Ms. Maria Rosa D. Opis and Ms. Julie C. Llorente, Senior Labor and Employment Officers from the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC)1 served as the resource speakers of the workshop. They discussed the concept and importance of the 7S of Good Housekeeping, namely:
- Sort (Suriin)
- Systematize (Sinupin)
- Sweep (Simutin)
- Standardize (Siguruhin)
- Safety (Siguraduhin ang Kaligtasan)
- Self-Discipline (Sariling Kusa)
- Sustain (Sikaping Panatilihin)
Moreover, the speakers explained the principles, purpose, benefits, and the action plan of 7S of Good Housekeeping. They also identified the tools and techniques to reduce waste in the workplace.
The one-day seminar-workshop was attended by 28 PFDA - Central Office (PFDA-CO) personnel and ISO-Quality Workplace Team members.
