Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), through its Operations Services Department - Quality Assurance Division, conducted an orientation on the PFDA’s Check FRESH Campaign to clients of the PFDA - Davao Fish Port Complex (PFDA-DFPC) and PFDA - General Santos Fish Port Complex (PFDA-GSFPC) on September 10 and 12, 2024 respectively.
Dedicated to promoting the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, the client orientation aimed to equip its clients with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement best practices in food handling, storage, and waste management through the Check FRESH reminders, namely1:
F – Fishery Products Quality
R – Required Safety Attire
E – Employee Engagement
S – Stray Animals Control
H – Hygiene & Sanitation Monitoring
This activity is aligned with PFDA’s comprehensive approach in ensuring food security in the Philippines.
The orientation was held in PFDA-DFPC Conference Hall and PFDA-GSFPC Market Hall 1.
