PFDA Agency News 07092024 PFDA joins P29 Rice Program launch sells affordable fish through iOTG Program

 

Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) joined in the simultaneous trial launch of the Department of Agriculture (DA)’s P29 Rice Program in 10 KADIWA sites across Metro Manila and Bulacan on July 5, 2024. 

Aside from affordable rice and other agricultural products, the PFDA’s isDA ON THE GO (iOTG) Program also sold various pocket-friendly fresh-frozen fishery products in various KADIWA sites. 

The PFDA iOTG Program’s participation supports the goal of providing more affordable and high-quality products and bringing DA’s programs closer to the people. 

PFDA Acting General Manager Atty. Glen A. Pangapalan and DA Assistant Secretary for Operations and DA Spokesperson Engr. Arnel V. De Mesa visited three KADIWA sites in Barangay Fortune in Marikina City, National Irrigation Administration, and Bureau of Animal Industry.

The other KADIWA sites are in the Bureau of Plant Industry in Manila, Food Terminal Inc. in Taguig City, Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA) in Las Piñas; and in KADIWA centers in Barangay 167 in Caloocan City, BF City (BFCT) in Marikina City, Disiplina Village in Valenzuela City, and Barangay Minuyan Proper in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan.

PFDA Assistant General Manager Ms. Iris R. De Vera and PFDA – Navotas Fish Port Complex Port Manager Ms. Luz P. Ortiz were also present at the event.
