Thirty employees from the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) Central Office (CO) and Regional Fish Ports (RFP) completed a two-day Basic Customer Service Training on June 7 and 8, 2024, at the University of the Philippines Institute of Small-Scale Industries (UP-ISSI), Diliman, Quezon City.
The workshop enhanced the participants' knowledge, skills, and abilities in various customer service techniques. It focused on better understanding clients and their needs through establishing good client relations, effective communication, complaint management, and improving support and satisfaction among customers.
UP-ISSI University Extension Specialist Mx. Jake A. Villanueva and UP Assistant Professor Ms. Maxine Rafaella C. Rodriguez served as the resource speakers during the two-day training session. They discussed various topics, including Introduction to Customer Service, Effective Communication Skills, Establishing Rapport with Customer Service, Handling and Managing Customer Complaints, Techniques in Problem-Solving, and Measuring Customer Satisfaction.
The orientation was organized by the PFDA Administrative Services Department – Human Resources Division in partnership with the UP Program Management Team.
