NFA Chief visits PFDA-ZFPC. National Food Authority (NFA) Administrator and Vice-Chairperson of the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) Atty. Judy Carol L. Dansal met with PFDA – Zamboanga Fish Port Complex (PFDA-ZFPC) Port Manager Mr. Ignacio M. Yao to discuss the port’s upcoming rehabilitation and improvement, held on June 22, 2021.

National Food Authority (NFA) Administrator and Vice-Chairperson of the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority Board of Directors (PFDA) Atty. Judy Carol L. Dansal met with PFDA – Zamboanga Fish Port Complex (PFDA-ZFPC) Port Manager Mr. Ignacio M. Yao to discuss the port’s upcoming rehabilitation and improvement, held on June 22, 2021. 

Under the national government’s Build, Build, Build Program, the development of PFDA-ZFPC is one of the various flagship projects of the agency in the pipeline for 2021. 

According to PFDA Technical Services Department (TSD), the detailed engineering design for PFDA-ZFPC has already been completed under Consultancy Service and the procurement for the construction of this project is already ongoing. As soon as the pre-development requirements are completed, port clients and stakeholders will soon make the best of a refurbished PFDA-ZFPC in at least 36 months. 

During the tour, Atty. Dansal and PM Yao also visited the newly constructed Market Hall and inspected the Cold Storage facility located in the Port Maintenance & Refrigeration Division (PMRD).

NFA Assistant Administrator for Operations Engr. Lemuel Pagayunan, Special Assistant to the Administrator Atty. Angelica Krystle L. Dansal, Executive Assistant Atty. Inna Therese F. Gutierrez and other NFA Region IX staff and personnel were also part of the visiting team.
