Philippine Fisheries Development Authority – Navotas Fish Port Complex (PFDA-NFPC) reported a 28.18 percent increase in fish unloading volume equal to 3,497.37 metric tons (MT) on May 7-13, 2021.

Based upon a centralized fish unloading report by the PFDA RFPs, Operations Services Department (OSD) and Public Information Division (PID), PFDA-NFPC has shown robust growth in fish unloading following weeks of unpredictable volume.

Galunggong (fresh) reclaims the top position with the highest unloading tally at 1,582.44 MT. Completing the said list are milkfish (642.32 MT), sardines (329.56 MT), tilapia (180.8 MT), and dalagang-bukid (137.08 MT).

PFDA-NFPC will continue to provide unhampered services and fish trading activities for its consumers in the Metro and nearby areas to sustain the port’s resilience.
