Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) Regional Fish Ports (RFP) in Mindanao, also known as "The Land of Promise", fulfilled their promise of providing adequate and quality fish supply to all their clients and stakeholders after surpassing last week’s fish unloading record.
According to a centralized PFDA RFPs fish unloading report prepared by the Operations Services Department (OSD) and Public Information Division (PID), Mindanao RFPs, including General Santos Fish Port Complex (PFDA-GSFPC), Zamboanga Fish Port Complex (PFDA-ZFPC), and Davao Fish Port Complex (PFDA-DFPC), have registered a whopping 6,196.02 metric tons (MT) of unloaded fish supply during the May 1-6 period.
In comparison, this week's unloading record is significantly higher by almost 5% or equivalent to more than 250 MT over last week's volume.
Based on the report, PFDA-GSFPC maintained its position as the RFP with the highest unloading volume not only in Mindanao but across all PFDA RFPs with 6,094.83 MT of unloaded fish in six days.
On the other hand, PFDA-ZFPC surpassed its record by registering 78.21 MT of unloaded fish.
In addition, PFDA-DFPC is determined to provide its stakeholders with sufficient and affordable fish supply and unloaded 22.98 MT of fish.
Overall, Mindanao RFPs are continuously working their way up the ladder of sustainability by doubling their efforts to deliver adequate fish products to all their consumers. As they maintain high unloading volume, Mindanao RFPs are hoping to surpass last month’s record–– a promise they are eager to fulfill in the days to come.
