As a member of the Department of Agriculture (DA) Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on the clean-up, Rehabilitation and Preservation of Manila Bay, PFDA has joined with other government agencies, local government unit, non-government organization, academes and other cause-oriented groups for the launching of Manila Bay Rehabilitation. The main objective is to increase awareness and encourage support from the public to clean and rehabilitate Manila Bay and transform its water quality fit for swimming or Class SB standard. The event was spearheaded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in compliance to the directives of President Duterte to rehabilitate the Manila Bay. Prior to the clean-up, solidarity walk was held from the Quirino Granstand to Manila Baywalk. (Henry A. Umil, Jr.) |
